Hair removal with IPL
Many men and women suffer unnecessarily from embarrassing hair. But what was impossible to treat in the past may now be removed efficiently and simply using IPL, and the results are permanent!What is IPL?
IPL uses intense pulsating long-wave light. The harmless light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and converted into heat that destroys follicles that are in the active phase of the growth cycle. The follicle is then destroyed and new hair cannot be formed again.
Most hair and skin types are treatable, but generally the combination of darker hair and lighter skin makes for faster and better results. Both the face and body may be treated, and it takes about 6-10 treatments for optimal results.
Treatment
The area is shaved and a layer of cold gel is applied. The light pulses usually feel like a short sting. A slight redness may occur post treatment, but this usually disappears within a few hours.
You will see noticeable results approximately ten days after treatment. Because hairs from dormant hair follicles are not affected, they will begin to grow around three months later. Once these are visible, it is time for a new treatment.
