Powerlite Facial uses intensive pulses of light on the skin to create a fresher and more youthful appearance. IPL is specially suited to treating loose or sun damaged skin, fine lines, visible capillaries, age spots, acne or Rosacea.The light passes all the way down to the lower levels of the skin. Because the treatment creates heat, the cells in the lower dermis are stimulated to produce more collagen and elastin. Medical tests show that the technique effectively reduces fine lines and gives fresher, fuller and firmer skin.
When treating visible capillaries, IPL works with the your own hemoglobin to solve the problem. As the temperature reaches 60 to 65ºC, the blood coagulates and the unvanted capillary is destroyed.
Treatment area
The areas that are most suited to treatment are the face, neck and the back of your hands.
IPL is quick, safe and effective. The pulses of light are similar to a camera flash and you only feel a slight prickling sensation. This is sometimes followed by a sensation of heat. Some redness may occur after the treatment, but this soon fades after a couple of days.
Clients see an improvement after each IPL and are able to judge for themselves how many treatments are necessary. However on average, clients require three to five treatments to reach the desired result. And as a rule, you should wait at least three weeks between visits.
